World cheapest Portable ventilator developed by AIIMS
Good news for patients who need to keep on ventilators for a longer time. AIIMS has developed a portable ventilator with Delhi robotic engineer. This ventilator is so small that it can also be kept in pocket. It is also very economical.
Ventilator is capable of running with natural air, and this does not require separate oxygen supply. It can be run through an Android app.
Deepak Agarwal, professor of neurosurgery department of AIIMS, took the initiative in this direction. He developed this device in collaboration with Diwakar Vaish, who led A-Set robotics.
It is very easy to use this ventilator and it will soon be available in the market. Its price will be less than Rs 15,000.
At present, the cost of the initial level ventilator is about 2.5 lakh rupees.
